 The mission of The Opis Foundation Health Section is to assure, promote and protect the health and development of families with emphasis on women, infants, and children. The Opis Foundation health programs place a major emphasis on the provision of preventive health services beginning in the pre-pregnancy period and extending throughout childhood. We employ effective strategies to produce sustainable improvements in the health of women and children around the world. The Opis Foundation believes every human deserves the right to basic health care.

 The Opis Foundation Health Section goals are to provide:

  • interventions in control of communicable diseases
  • infant feeding/nutrition,
  • control of diarrheal diseases,
  • malaria control and prevention,
  • HIV/AIDS prevention,
  • prenatal care
  • health education and prevention
  • training community-level health workers and professionals
  • provide quality care to women and children
